Welcome to the official website of the 2010 TAPPSA National Conference and Exhibition, to be held from 19 - 20 October 2010 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Since TAPPSA’s last national conference in 2007, then known as African Pulp and Paper Week, the world of pulp and paper has changed dramatically. Emerging markets from the south and east are leading the way in the global quest for a truly sustainable industry, prompted by diminishing resources and ever-increasing environmental legislation.
In response to these changes, the 2010 TAPPSA National Conference and Exhibition will
bring together both the local and international pulp and paper industry under this year’s
theme: “Paper – a sustainable business”.
Kicking off the event will be opening speaker and Managing Director of SAPPI Fine Paper, Dinga Mncube. From there, conference delegates will catch an exciting line-up of twenty-six speakers. Topics will include: biofuels production and biorefinery, microbiological controls, carbon trading possibilities for the industry, cleaner production, and a number of practical methods to improve energy efficiency throughout the pulp and paper mill.
We look forward to seeing you at the 2010 TAPPSA National Conference and Exhibition!
